Evaluation of the Bowel Screening Pilot – 2013 Follow-up WDHB Population Survey Findings

The Ministry of Health has funded Waitemata District Health Board to run a Bowel Screening Pilot (BSP) over four years from 2012–16. An evaluation of the BSP is being undertaken by Litmus and Sapere Research Group.The goal of the evaluation is to determine whether organised bowel screening could be introduced in New Zealand in a way that is effective, safe and acceptable for participants, equitable and economically efficient.
The purpose of this follow-up survey is to identify changes in awareness, attitudes, knowledge and involvement with the BSP over time, within the BSP area.
