Interim Evaluation Report of the Bowel Screening Pilot: Screening Round One

Project Description

The Ministry of Health has funded Waitemata District Health Board to run a Bowel Screening Pilot over four years from 2012–15. An evaluation of the BSP is being undertaken by Litmus, the Centre for Public Health Research Massey University, and Sapere Research Group. This is the interim evaluation report of the BSP following the completion of invite distribution for screening round one (January 2012 – December 2013).

The goal of the evaluation is to determine whether organised bowel screening could be introduced in New Zealand in a way that is effective, safe and acceptable for participants, equitable and economically efficient.
