Akerei is the co-founder, Director and Chief Consultant at A & K Thomson Limited. He has over 25 years of experience in community building, social good advocacy, law enforcement and as an esteemed White Ribbon Ambassador. He is the co-founder of the multi-award winning free community app MYRIVR detailing support services in New Zealand. He is passionate about research that helps to change the status quo in terms of Māori and Pasifika health and wellbeing.
Akerei holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chichester, United Kingdom, a Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management from Douglas Business School, United Kingdom and a Diploma in Police Workplace Practice, Victoria University, New Zealand.
