We use third-party providers to store and process some information we hold. We use Microsoft Office 365 for our email and other office productivity applications. This means the personal information we hold may be transferred to, or accessed from, countries other than New Zealand.
We take reasonable steps to ensure the personal information we hold is protected against loss, unauthorised access and disclosure or any other misuse per the Privacy Act 2020, including information stored or processed by our third-party providers. We have assessed and are satisfied that, for example, Microsoft has adequate security and privacy safeguards to protect the information it holds on our behalf. The privacy of people involved in our work is very important.. We collect personal information while undertaking research, evaluation, or community engagement on behalf of our clients. The information we collect includes personal information, including your name, contact information, location, and other demographic information. We may also collect information on your opinions and experiences of policies, programmes, and services.
All personal and client information collected is stored securely in the Azure AD Cloud. Data access is limited to Litmus employees and approved contractors. We delete electronic contact lists and destroy paper copies within one month of project completion. Interview audios, videos and transcripts are deleted six months after project completion.
